Default Firewall stopping me from downloading

Hi Folks,
I seem to have a firewall blocking my attempts to download songs.
In the bottom left hand corner the world is covered by a wall.
Can you tell me how to get rid of this please.

How many green bars do you see?

If you only see one green bar, then it's a connection problem.

Make sure XP firewall is turned off. Norton & XP firewalls clash with each other causing strange problems & also results in less security, not more. o to the control panel, double click on Windows Firewall, check the disable box.

Is that a 'Dial up' modem? (ie: max ability of 56 kbps) Dial up is never easy & connecting can be slow. Oh hold on ... you are on a broadband plan right?

BT from memory have security settings. Double-check them.

Might be related to your connection problems too.

Try each of the suggestions here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html as sometimes one or a combination of these fixes problems with connections.

If these suggestions don't work for you http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html then please supply these details: System details - help us to help you (click on blue link).

Please make sure you have only one software firewall running, and make a firewall rule allowing LimeWire full access. User Cant Connect - LimeWire
