Starting Connection
 

Limewire only every shows one green bar and always says "Starting Connection" beside the bar. I have tried turning off windows firewall completely, but that doesnt seem to work...Limewire is on the "Allow through the firewall list" and i'm NOT running Norton or McAfee.

-Windows Vista (Administrator)
-Windows Firewall
-2GB Ram
-115 GB Available
-DSL
-Linksys Router, no Modem
-Connecting from apartment complex
-LimeWire 4.12.3 Pro, Java 1.5.0-oem
-NTC internet provider
-The test page will not load for me, it says cannot find the webpage
-I am sharing the internet connection with another person through the wireless router
-I am pretty experienced at limewire, never had a problem on my computer with limewire
-There is a brick wall with a blue world icon, even when windows firewall is turned off
-UPnP is enabled
-AVG Free v8.0.176 (security program...i dont think this has a firewall)
-Living in USA
-Nothing has changed recently

I am having the same problem that you did. How did you fix the problem. I have tried all day to get connected.

Which Linksys model is it? Apartment connections if going through the same central router connection of the apartments as a whole can be a difficult scenario because you have no control over it, despite your own router & settings.
