| blueyzny, It might not be your AV... might be a software or hardware firewall or any number of other things - LW can behave differently on different computers. Try the fixes in the thread below & of nothing there helps, please post back with your system details. If LW Will Not Connect shawnfont & broncos2000, Same deal for you - try the fixes in the thread above & if you're stuck, post back with your details |

| Hi there thanks for the imput, I have disabled the defender firewall. I actually think it was done automatically through Trend, the way I did it was to disable various protection through Trend. I now have the problem of remenants of a older version of Limewire preventing me using the EXE file, I have gone through add/remove but I need to know the safest method to get the rest of it. Ps My Toshiba A300 is unstable at the best of times although it is NEW!!!!!!!!!!!! Any ideas?????????? |

| Try the advice here, there are a couple of cleaners to run: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...tml#post333278 AFAIK it's better to use LW's own uninstall option (start > all programs > LW > uninstall). |
