This is how you fix your Connection!!!!!!

Follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Uninstall limewire
2. Delete folder C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Limewire
3. Reinstall limewire, this will definately work for you guys.

The trick is deleting the Limewire Application Data folder. If you cant find it, do a seach for limewire on your computer. Once it shows the files and folders, delete the Lime wire application data folder.
:PEACE:

I got tired of trying to fix LimeWire Pro with all these sugestions that didn't work, so I went to FrostWire & it works great. It has a turbo charged connection on a cable modem with superfast downloads...Been using LimeWire for years & never thought i would use anything else, as it always worked awsome for me, but I gotta say FrostWire is pretty cool so far..

slabb28 December 22nd, 2008 09:08 PM

thanks Chrisla

Okay, i think i will try frostwire. thanks for the suggestion . Merry Xmas:Smilywais:

Sounds like the gnutella.net file was out of date. Probably if you tried LW now, it may connect fine, if not, copying the FrostWire Gnutella.net file across to LW's preferences folder & replacing the older one would probably do the trick. ;) This issue is affecting a lot of users.

BTW FrostWire had this identical problem a year or two ago.

gnutella.net file was out of date!

AWWSOME,
Deleted the gnutelle.file from LimeWire Application Data.
I copied the gnutelle.file from the FrostWire App. Data file & pasted into LW Application Data file & Limewire Pro now works!....
Thanks a $$MILLION$$

No, it won't erase your music. If you want to, as a sanity check, you can change the name of the folder that limewire downloads to on your computer. But you will be okay either way.
