Can't connect, no search results
 

Hi mines doing the exact same thing i get 1 green bar the rest are a red'y brown colour limewire wont connect dosent bring up any search results iv tried doing what was suggested above with no change it's extremely frustraiting

I think you've posted onto the wrong thread - this one's about how to start a new thread on the forum:)

I don't know what fixes you've tried, as there aren't any connection fixes in this thread!! Please let us know exactly what fixes you've tried.

For now, try the fixes in the thread below. If nothing there helps, please post back with your system details. You'll find info in the thread below about the details that we need.

i also have the same problem. limewire worked before on this computer just today it stopped connecting

I have the Same Problem I have been useing L/W forever and all of a sudden I cannot even get 1 bit torrent from 5 diferent serches there is at least 5 or 6 finds in each but they are all dud's Dasha

Have No connectivity....
 

I have tried everything on the LW help pages and still cant get anything more than one bar....I have been using LW for years and have never had this problem Totally frustrated any help PLEASE

Birdy If You are logged on I have just done a Clean ReInstall as yoiu said to and NO difference I have 3 diferent searches for the same song and Singer at this moment there is a total of 25 hits and not one has a (Bit Rate) beside it? it has Kind, Speed and Icon,there is just nothing there?? Dasha:confused::)

My Problems are Over (:wai:I thinkl) I went to "Birdy":dance::yahoo: here Post (2007) "If LW will not connect here's what to try first".
There is a list of things there to try so I did as many as I could BUT i have a sneaky suspicion that because I HAD Made My Default "Download and Save to" "MediaMonkey" and I was also useing MM for "My Player" to preview Thatwas causing the Problem I have gone Back to LW to Save LW as Player AND selected "Show save as"??
I also Selected Don't Show Tips at startup (Popups) and DID File Dissconnect the File Reconnect?? so I hope you will get something from this all thanks to you Birdy:super: Dasha:yahoo:

Double check that your Vista firewall's still allowing LW.

After you deleted the preferences folder & restarted LW, did you go through the setup wizard all over again?

Did you make sure that LW was properly closed before replacing the gnutella.net file?

Did you have any trouble with any of the fixes?

What is the model of your 2wire router? In LW go tools > options > advanced > firewall... do you have UPnP selected, or manual port forward, or is 'do nothing' ticked?
