every time I try to connect I see info: lime wire is currently contecting

Hello,
I am using sony Vaio VGN-NR160E. My operation system is vista. I did test and my computer is working. I had problems before. But was enough to restart computer. Now no matter what I do I cannot get connection. Please help me somebody.

P.S
My firewall expire. so I do not have any protection.

Rather than running without a firewall (dangerous), turn on Vista's firewall & make sure that the firewall's allowing LW.

There are lots of fixes to try & links with info about configuring firewalls etc. First fix to try is deleting/replacing the gnutella.net file. If that doesn't work, delete LW's preferences folder. If that doesn't work, go through all the other fixes.
