no connection
 

Hello dear members,

a few weeks ago my Limewire works without any problems....till now. It says it entcountered a firewall. I have one installed. Now i can't search for anything. It says he makes a stable connection to the Gnutella Network with 1 green bar instead of 5. The other 4 are read. (on the low low left side.) What do I have to do, I've already tried to de-install and do a re-install but that didnt work at all...:shoot:

Hi Helado,
In Limewire Links (below) click on (If LW will not connect) and go through these fixes -- Try one fix at a time --- do them in this order:-
1. Check your firewall.
2. Delete/Replace gnutella.net file
3. Delete Preference Folder (otherwise known as the Limewire folder)
4. Update java
5. Change listening port
6. Go through the rest of the fixes.
if after all of this your problem remains click on (system details) fill in and post back here

I am unable to download the gnutella.net file. Help where do i get it i tried googling it

You can download them here:-
(1) gnutella.net file from mediafire.com or
(2) gnutella.net file from zshare.net

They are both in the (if lw will not connect) link as described in post #2 above -- scroll down to delete/replace the gnutella.net file.
