![]() Don't run Windows & Norton firewalls together. Turn off the Windows firewall. Now try removing all LW rules from Norton firewall & reconfiguring that to allow LW. See the links below. PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall http://www.gnutellaforums.com/226610-post6.html If you're still stuck, go through the fixes here: If LW Will Not Connect If nothing there helps, post back with your system details. |

![]() Hi, Thanks in advance for helping me figure out this problem that's been sending me in circles for hours. I'm totally vexed, and am wondering now if this isn't my problem. I'm having the same problem as sageacres. I'm running Vista w/ service pack 1, Norton 360 with all traffic allowed to LW. No windows defender. LW tells me I have no internet connection, though I'm downloading other apps at over 300kps. I have uninstalled/installed 4.18.8 multiple times, then 5.0.11 Pro/ Java 1.6.0_04. I even tried an older LW version with no satisfaction. I hope to get this working quickly, as I use LW religiously. Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. Again, thank you for your time, and for your prompt attention to this matter. Best regards, Eric |

![]() Which fixes here have you tried?: If LW Will Not Connect There are so many because so many different fixes have worked for so many different people! If you haven't tried any yet, I'd start off by deleting/replacing your gnutella.net file & next thing would be deleting LW's preferences folder. After that, go through the whole lot. If nothing there helps, you really need to post your system details. We can't help without those details - how can we guess your setup?? The help thread above tells you the details that we need, just like the forum rules do when you first register here ![]() |
