I am using OSX 10.3.9 FOR YEARS I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH CONNECTING BUT ALL OF THE SUDDEN BAM ZIP..ZERO..I 'LL TYPE IN SOME BROAD SIMPLE REQUEST (dvd) AND NOTHING SHOWS UP....SOMETIMES IT WILL SAY LIMEWIRE IS NOT FULLY CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET AND YOU MAY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE SEARCH(you know somthing like that)I have tried to QUIT AND DELETE AND RESTART AND STILL NOTHING!!! this is so weird cuz it just happened randomly..my internet is working, nothing has changed as far as I know. I am trying to do the un-install and re-install method but of course I can't remeber the admin name and password to make changes(@#!!&*?@!!) FIGURES RIGHT!!! is there another way around this dilema? I'm sure others have found their way from this strange situation..and it is soooooo damn frustrating!! I hope someone can talk me down and give me some advice. To be honest I've only had a computer for a couple of years so I am kind of green...hopefully thanks for your help.

Question New Problem: Long time till connection established

I was going to start a new thread but see this problem is basically the same as mine ... I have always connected to the network no problem - within about 15 seconds I have a turbo-charged connection. Suddenly that's changed, and it takes like 15 minutes to get my normal killer connection. It's a pain in the butt. I haven't changed any setting, software or hardware, so I'm stumped.

I ran the "can you see this page" test and it worked instantly. I'm using a Netgear WPN824 router on XPSP2 with only a windows firewall and no A/V. Again, I haven't changed any settings. What would cause a delay in ability to gain connection? Any help greatly appreciated!

My suggestions are summarized here: If LW Will Not Connect (click on the blue link). I believe replacing the gnutella.net file, and purging the incomplete files are the two more important ones in your cases.

If problems searching, sometimes that happens to us all. There are odd days when searches are extremely poor giving little or anything. I don't know the entire reasons, but one reason might be because you are connected to dud or spam ultrapeers. Replacing the longest connected ultrapeers one by one at a time 'might' improve things, but can play havoc with your connection after each one is removed. So if that is done, wait several mins after each one, see if searches improve before replacing any more.

Here's two other things to try: (a) Problems with the search, __ (b) Hostiles List
