Windows Security has blocked "some" of the features
 
It game me the option to unblock it then but its still hanging in connection mode. Windows firewall is still of so thats not an issue.

Worked fine yesterday, booted it up today and its hanging in connection after that.


anyone ever have this one??

Please accept my apologies, I shut everything down did a reboot of everything and all is well.

sorry to have taken up forum time and space

I completely uninstalled Mcafee yesterday which was part of the problem.

Yes, LW does not like the running of two software firewalls. Glad to hear it's fixed. :)

2. Basic Windows firewall now but it is off
3. 3g of RAM
4. 155 G of free disk space
5. DSL Qwest Broadband
6. Apartment on wireless network
7. Limewire Pro 5.1.2
8. Java 1.6.0_07 LW Pro 5.1.2
9. Qwest
10. Yes it works
11. yes another desktop and they have frostwire
12 Brand new problem had LW for at least 5 years probably more
13 im not sure where that is? very bottom line where it shows sharing and connection strength?

14. not sure but it worked all day after I deleted Mcafee but will go buy the portforward if I have to, and its somewhat easy to set up?

get PG2....use it every time you fileshare..make sure to update it before every use, and also verify that the p2p list isn't empty (this happens every now and again)...it is quite possible that the lagginess you describe is caused by attacks from paid henchmen of the RIAA/MPAA...PG2 will block those attacks

Another reason 'might' be if you are downloading Torrents. They can use up a lot of connections which can flood your modem/router/system connection. 'If' my suggestion is correct, keep your torrent downloads limited, not too many at once.
