HELP: LW5 closes when I try to play videos

I just downloaded the new Limewire 5 and whenever I try to play a video, it automatically closes and the icon in the taskbar disappears when I try to scroll over it.

You are using either real player or WMP to play the videos? There is a known bug between LW 5 & WMP. I'd suggest you get VLC - (click on link) & change default video player to VLC. You should not suffer same problem after that. :)
