Customer Service And Tech Support

What did Customer Service And Tech Support Say?

It has been 1 week no response.

mike190 May 23rd, 2009 10:43 AM

Nada..if this continues it may be best to just delete the program. It used to be a great resource.

Delete Limewire Question

Totally Stop using Limewire and delete it out of the system ?

mike190 May 23rd, 2009 11:07 AM

i left it on for 10 minutes and it connected to 5 bars, good to go!

mike190 May 23rd, 2009 11:10 AM

i should mention that i uninstalled Spyware terminator and AVG virus, then reinstalled an older verion of AVG....then things worked. it just wook a while to get full connection to LW

mike190 May 23rd, 2009 11:15 AM

ooops.......... i only get 4 results per audio search, no matter who the artist is; they are (.au, mp3, mp3 and an .snd file) none of which are downloadable. DANG!

Same here ...

Hi

I am getting the same result ... takes ages to connect ... then just the four unrelated results as above.

Anyone got any idea what the problem is, please?

Hitherto I have been able to use Limewire trouble free. My only recent change to my PC is loading XP Service Pack 3 (under protest, having postponed it for the year). My ISP is Tiscali who have recently been taken over by Talk Talk ... dunno if they are bu**ering about with things?

Thanks

Paul

TalkTalk are known to shape speeds for p2p sharing. I think however you can use LW off-peak hours. Check the links for ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire (Click on blue link) under TalkTalk about known ways to get around it.

I have the same prob. I have been using it for a year. But then i got new internet and possibly it came with a firewal. I need help to get the firewall off, or how to turn it off. Does anyone know anything to help me? I really need to get new stuff! HELP!!

mike190 June 10th, 2009 05:15 PM

i totally deleted "spyware terminator; deactivated my AVG virus prog; then reinstalled Limewire. then reactivated AVG....It now takes about 5 mins or so to get my 5 bars on limewire, but it does work. (I'm on time warner cable west coast)...Turning off XP's firewall wasn't necessary (but you can turn it off thru 1-start; 2 settings; 3 control panel; 4 windows firewall) Good luck

Good point...try "lords" suggestions, especially:

10. Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say 'Your test worked!'. What happens when you go there?
