Acquisition will not connect (moved to a new house)

Acquisition was working fine in my old house but I just moved to a new place and it wont connect (transmission wont connect either, I also tried downloading Cabos and it didn't connect either) I'm running OS 10.5.7 if that helps anyone know what the problem is. I'm sure it has to do with the internet settings but I don't know what to change or how to change it.

No one can possibly guess what your problem is with the very little that you have provided.

However, I will make a very general suggestion, depending on your new address the simple rule is that the further you move away from ISPs telephone exchange (sorry, I don't know what you call these places outside of the UK) the more speed and connection problems you will have.

The only way you can realistically sort out your problem is by constantly pestering your ISP.

As UKBob suggested, lack of details. But there are some Suddenlink ISP posts on the forums. Here's one http://www.gnutellaforums.com/downlo...ave-cable.html

If you moved, try double-checking your OSX firewall to give exception to all or to those specific programs (remove & re-add). Also, I would highly recommend deleting your old preferences file for Acquisition. Though strange Cabos will not connect either, however would need to use a different connection port to Acquisition. Only one program can use a particular port per router.

Have you tried setting up a Test account to see if any of those programs can connect from there? Setting up a Test Account in OSX (click on link) ... a test account can be created & later deleted very easily & quickly. ;)
