Unfortunately your ISP is at fault: CARPHONE WAREHOUSE BROADBAND SERVICES. They have been blocking LW and other p2p programs for close to a year now. I presume you are using AOL. Most AOL in UK use this practice nowadays.

Unfortunately no. And since many ISP's shape p2p sharing bandwidth, you would really need to search around for an ISP that does not if you decided to change.

There's been a number of users who used the same ISP. One or two were using the same services around the time the company changed its practices, and noticed the sudden firewall and disconnection issues.

The only possibly option I could think of would be using a proxy but even then no guarantees. A Fix for those whose ISP's block Limewire pages 1 - 3 which have links to alternative instructions.

ukbobboy01 used to be a good one to ask about UK ISP's but he has distanced himself due to a step back from p2p, however, there are some links around the forum to assist. (Feel free to PM UKBob however.)

ISP's in UK not to join: ISP's known to BLOCK or Filter p2p or specifically Limewire (Click on blue link)

Check a couple of thread stickies (ones highlighted in red) near top of this section page:The Lounge - Gnutella Forums including Samknows, for more assistant information.
