can't get connected have Mcafee , tried but frustrated

Use to have older version ( ? ) of limewire, worked great, got new virus protector McAfee , dissabled firewalls, re-booted newer java as mentioned , but still only one green indicator light on limewire 4.16
Have Vista and Dell one year old computer, Thanks in advance:bangh:
