connection problem
 

yes another one of these, did a search and couldnt find anything that worked.
im running xp 64 bit
nvidia mobo
intel quad core
more than enough ram and hd memory
at&t uverse for internet.

49% the time when i open limewire i get a "medium connection", 49% i get "no connection", and randomly 2% i can actually fully connect.
when i get medium or no connection most of the time 1 item is sitll able to download just VERY slowly.in advanced tools i watch the other connections try to start downloading, they count up to 5 seconds then reset.

tried to set up port forwarding however i could not find it for my modem (gateway 3800HGV-B)

help woul dbe much appreciated.

btw: windows firewall off, no anti virus software installed, modem firewall off so its not a firewall issue but still says it is sometimes.

oh one more thing, i've tried reinstalling nvidia drivers to see if that was the problem, it fixed the problem for about 5 minutes before it goes back to having no connection
