firstly, DO NOT INCLUDE YOU EMAIL ADDY IN ANY POSTS AS THAT IS AGAINST THE RULES

to find your dns info in XP do the following:

Start>run>type in 'cmd' and hit enter>then type in the following command into the command prompt screen 'ipconfig /all' remove the ' ' of course...all of your ip configuration information will pop up...in that information is your dns server(s)

you may have to specify a rule for LW in your zone alarm firewall..I know I have to using Kaspersky and it is typical to have to set a rule using any firewall

I've never used zone alarm, so I don't have a clue about its specifics...

generally one will open up the program and go to its control panel for programs

for Kaspersky its Protection>system security>application filtering....I'm sure if you fish around in your program you will find what you need...

Also if using LW 4.9 you may need a fresh gnutella.net file, see near bottom of this page http://www.gnutellaforums.com/connec...t-connect.html

Try it .. after all if you are just checking to see if you are able to connect & are .. then it points to an issue with ZA. Not sure .. might be worth rebooting or not.
