Problem Connection to Limewire using Windows Live Onecare
 

I am running Windows Xp. and Windows Live OneCare for security. When I try to connect to Limewire's newest version i receive an error message giving me instructions to allow exception, which was done. Furthermore, when I disconnect my firewall the new version connects and works perfectly. I can only connect to Limewire when I disable my firewall. Clearly, I am reluctant to disable the firewall to use Limewire. Please advise.

I too have Win XP (Pro) but I do not use it's firewall, which I believe is not that good but better than nothing.

I would suggest you use another firewall, whether free or paid for, which will give you the protection you want but with more control.

BTW, I use Norton Personal Firewall 2009.
