Thumbs down Limewire 5.0.11 not connecting

Yes, we have dozens of "no connection" problems.
Let me describe my setup:
Vista Home Premium - SP1
ISP: Comcast Internet Cable (ave. down= 16170kbps, up= 1020kbps)
Softw Firewall = Comodo Pro
Router Wireless = Linksys WRT54G
Softw AntiVirus = BitDefender 2009
I do not use MS Firewall or Defender.

Limewire (worked without a problem until updated with 5.0.11 Java 1.6.0.11) Free Version

Problem = it displays Connecting for over 1 minute then "No Internet Connection". Mind you, I am capable of using the Browser and access Internet sites while Limewire saids No Internet Connection.

Limewire Options: Unsafe Categories (both unchecked).
Advanced Tools - Port 6346

Other than using a newer version of Limewire, everything else tell me the firewalls are not at fault.

Please help.

Test performed =
Disabled Software Firewall (failed to connect as before)
Disabled Router Firewall (failed to connect as before)
Rebooted and repeated (failed to connect as before)

Phex is just as good if not better than LimeWire. It is another gnutella program supported on these forums. See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/phex-c...urn-infos.html for more details.

I luv Phex, it has some functions LW does not have such as size filter. The interface is not as simple as LW but it's a great program all the same.

I don't want to use Phex! I paid for LimeWire Pro and I want it to work. It says no internet connection. At the same time I am using my browser to surf the net. So does anyone have a clue???

As I described before, I keep trying all suggestions but still "No Internet Connections" although I connect to the Internet for everything else.
Since I ran the new Limewire disabling both the Router and the software Firewall, do you think somebody is going to wakeup and blame the new Limewire? I did not have such problems using the previous version, with both the Router and the firewall.
I hate to count how many of us are now "disconnected" and the developer still happy with what they did to Limewire!
