I just got a new mac book yesterday, downloaded limewire today, and cannot connect. I am stuck in "starting connection" I check connections, and there have been no attempts even made. I have taken the firewall off of my wireless router, and the one on my computer is set to allow limewire to work (or so I think,) I have not used apple in about 15 years, so I'm a teeny bit rusty. I have restarted the computer, I'm at a loss and don't know what else to do.

Computer version: mac osx 10.6.1
limewire 4.18.8 pro
internet type is cable modem.

I am a touch curious why you chose LW 4 instead of 5 initially. However if you prefer LW 4 that's fine.

For LW 4, see If LW 4 Will Not Connect (click on the blue link). You will most likely need to replace the Gnutella.net file for LW 4. ;)

If still no good, if possible supply some more details, such as brand names & models of connection devices, etc. :)
