Unhappy Can't connect, nothing happens!

Please help! I've been using Limewire for a long time now and all of the sudden it won't connect! I've done the things in the FAQ and everything looks normal, but when i open the program, nothing happens, no error message or anything! This is very strange.....

Help!

Cool re problems

hi kathy this is raven in toronto canada
i just sighned up and noticed your problem so here is my advice for what its "worth"
1. first in order for me to help you i need to know what system your running ect, win 98 se me 2000 or xp like me
2. if you find your not connecting heres what to do
now read this carefully ok
now then in your c:\ drive look under control panal for internet settings it can be found in the top of your broser under tools
3. open the tab that says internet options
4. look to your right you should see a icon that says delete history next to that it says delete files now press both of them this will clear your cashe and allow you to connect again
there is a little box in the delete files on the left when you open it make sure this is checked off this clears all programs off the cashe and allows you to restore information
sometimes this area gets full and it needs to be cleaned out depending on how often you use it
if and i mean if this dosn,t slove your problem please uninstall and start over
need more advise email me at lawrencegates69@hotmail.com
i will be glad to help
sincerly yours lawrence (raven hawk)

Laurence

Thanks for your response, it was a very helpful and pleasant post.

Would you consider getting registered - it's not easy to communicate with unregistered ppl.

Also - I know hotmail is not a problem, but it's not a good idea to give your address out in the posts. Someone inadvertantly posted mine and I recieved some very unwelcome visitors. Thank god for NAV.
