unable to connect
 

I to LW Pro today, as well as upgraded to 5.5.10. I am running windows 7 64 bit, and IE 8. yesterday before I upgaded either, I was using LW 5.5.9, and it was working fine, now all it will do when you enter a search is say connecting. It shows no bars in the connection meter in the bottom right hand corner. can someone please help me

Hint: If you've suddenly lost connection after upd@ting/upgrading LW then deleting LW's preferences folder is often a fix ;)

what else is needed?

I just downloaded Limewire for the 1st time on this computer. I've used it in the past but I got a new laptop....For some reason only seeing gray bars and says connecting but never does. I'm on a college campus...could that wifi connection effect it? Otherwise I'm at a loss....

Yes your college might be blocking. As for what info you should provide, there is a box at the top here with links and everything starting with "Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire...". Maybe there?
