Cheesy First posting; Limewire never connects

Hello to all, and thanks.
Following Birdy's instructions here goes:

1. OS version? XP
2. What firewalls you have? Norton Internet Security 2010; I don't see the AVG that downloaded with Limewire
3. How much ram? 512MB
4. Hard Disk space available? 82G
5. Connection type? DSL
6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers? Versalink Wireless Gateway Westell 327W
7. Where are you trying to connect from? apartment complex
8. What version of LimeWire (LW) & Java do you have?LW 5.5.14; Java 1.6.0_21*It's very important that you tell us whether you're using LW 5*
9. Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? Verizon
11. Are you sharing the connection with other computers or p2p sharing programs? shared connection
12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user? New problem with new version
13. (a) Do you see a brick wall in front of the blue world icon at the bottom of LW's interface (only for LW 4 users)? N/A _ (b) How many red or green bars do you see at bottom left of LW's screen? NO bars; all grey AIf you're using LW5, there's no firewall icon. In LW go tools > advanced tools...there you'll see whether you're behind a firewall or not. There is NOTHING populated in this space
14. For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled? Don't know...
15. What security programs are you using (antivirus etc)? Some people might not be aware that their security suite includes a firewall Norton Internet Security 2010; Windows firewall is turned off. Even when I turn off Norton and just use Windows with the exception for LW it does not connect.
16. What country are you living in? USA
17. Has anything in your setup changed recently? Have you updated your version of LW? Updated LW to 5.5.13, then 5.5.14 (today); neither connects.
