What does an upload indication mean?

If I see a uploading indication in the Monitor window, does this mean a gnutella client had made a TCP connection to my system?

Either that, or you opened a TCP connection to him because you are firewalled.

This certainly could be the case because I'm using a Linksys Ethernet router with NAT enabled. I'm got LW configured to force the IP address to that on the WAN side of my router. I guess the bottom line I wanted to know is that if I see a upload indication in my Monitor window then can I assume that things are configured properly on my side?
