Angry LAMEwire V2.4.1 and U GoT to be kidding me.

Well this is apparently a known download issue, but once again, it utterly sucks. I'm talking about inability of resuming downloads after hang ups or crashes. I'm screwed here with cable or DSL, so I'm stuck with a modem 'till I move to a complex that has hi-speed hook up. So far I use GetRight, because I can schedule all my downloads and set them up for the night, and after a week with this LAMEwire, I AM YET TO GET ANYTHING ON MY HD! On a good side, I ended up with about a gig of "incompletes" that turned out to be just as useful as a heap of digital garbage. My opinion, nothing beats good old serfin' to get the soft you need, and then plug 'em with GOOD OLD GetRight. I'm done here.

You're a modem user trying to download large files and you complain that your files never complete? Well if I see a modem user downloading a divx movie from me, I usually kill his upload and bann him instantly.

Question

Actually I was trying to download some soft. I happen to be a student, ya know, and considering current mid terms and my computer crash, it's not really time for movies. Actually, do to necessity I gave LimeWire another try, and managed to download some stuff. Unfortunately some progs were in stuffit format, and unlike clearly marked sit progs, the ones I downloaded did not have a note that they were for OS X. Some people do use stuffit for windows you know. So I tried again. The single zipped one that I did managed to actually download was corrupted. Every other link is completely out, or downloads partially and then dies. So what is the point of this? What, digital sharing is only for that select 20s-30s caucasian group with high-speed connections? And if one is not part of that group, he's going to get banned? Funny. Not really. But hey, the S of A, right.

I'm a cable user but I'm of the 40 to 50 caucasian variety.
