Incompletes don't resume download

Ok, it goes down like this: do some heavy downloading on the T3, dig? Stop to shift gears, restart LW, but the friggin incompletes won't resume. Instead the friggin thing starts the file download at the very beginning (that is at zero percent for you folks in Ria Linda).

So say you be sittin at 70% downloaded then for whatever reason, you stop LW, then restart it and resume download. According tho the hype, the damn thing is going to pick up at 70% and continue on to the end.

BUT NO!!!!!
I VANT TO BE A BITCH and start at the beginning!!!!

Not really diggin it, guys, know what I mean?

I agree it is annoying - but it doesn't happen all the time.

As I understand it, LimeWire wants the original source in order to continue a download. If it can't connect to the original source, it will clear the download and start from a new source (it will use additional sources to swarm the download, but it wants the original source to start the download).

I believe that the implemetation of hashing in an upcoming release will considerably improve this problem if not eliminate it altogether.

Thanx for the info. Demanding the exact same source before allowing a resume is shortsighted and lazy programming, so I have no reason to doubt it is as you say.
