Angry incomplete file will not "restart"

[COLOR=crimson][FONT=arial][SIZE=1]i have a MPG file I have been downloading for probably 10 hrs on my slow connection. I am about halfway through and now the file is located in my incomplete folder and I can't "restart" it... I have ran a search for the exact file and when I try to download, it starts as a new file and not a continuation of where I left off...can I get some help...PLEASE!!!! thanks......

Make sure that the files are indeed exactly the same -- this means the absolutely identical bitrate and name. Limewire, at least for now, thinks that Great Tune -- Great Artist.mpg and great tune-great artist.mpg are different files. When you do a search, however, it will find both, and knowing you want the file, will download any version.

What version of LimeWire are you using?

As I understand it, you need the original source to resume downloading a file.

The current version of LimeWire will attempt to find the original source - if it cannot be found then it will start again from the beginning - but it doesn't get rid of the other download. If the original source pops up again LimeWire can switch back to continuing that download.

Obviously this isn't a perfect solution - but it will, eventually, get the file down.

A future version of LimeWire will be better at resuming downloads even without the original source.
