Library Problem
 

When I download a song, it does not go into my library. I can find it in shared files but why doesn't it go to the library?

my song downloads but it does not go into a shared file when it is completed. how do i get it to my shared file. the only thing i see is an incomplete file. please help me! everytime i download a song i loose it when i sign off.

Ditto for me -- my files sit there in "downloads" and I can't seem to move them to the library and they aren't already there. I don't think they are shared automatically, either.

I had the same problem but after a long search; I found all my song files on my hard drive. (mine was local disc "D"). Yours may be "C". I don't know how they got there But at least I found them. From there I can either create a CD or delete the files from the HD as I wish.
Try this...
From the desktop double click "my computer".
Double click the local disc that you downloaded Limewire to. (mine is "D".)
Double click "program files".
Scroll down to "Limewire"...double click
Double click "Shared"

You should find all of your downloaded songs right there.

look, i have been having the same problem. i just downloaded limewire today the 22, and i just cant get the music i have downloaded into my library. although my freind said it should auto matically but it doesnt!!I NEED HELP! please write back. i am desperate.

I have no idea. That's why I posted the message and the response's that I have received are all having the same problem but no one has told me how to get it to the library. If you find out let me know. Thanks

Help!!! I did what Kathy W. said to do. I made sure both my Sharing and Saving folders both had the pathway C: /Program Files/Limewire/Shared and still my downloaded songs will NOT go into my library!! What is going on??? It worked fine before and all of a sudden every song I download says..... "could not move to library". Someone PLEASE help me!!:confused:

1. Download Music Match (www.musicmatch.com)
2. Go to Options
3. Go to playlist
4. Open music
5. my computer
6. double click on the drive you downloaded lime wire to mine was c
7. click on program files
8. go to limewire
9. go to shared
10. tyour music will be highlited if not highlight it
11. click play

I'm having the same issues. I can find my files and even play them in Windows Media Player but I want to transfer them to my Limewire library and it won't let me....grrrrrrrrrrr..frustration major.
any ideas??
