dnlded files sound like speaker test patterns
 

I've downloaded several songs successfully and they sound great. Now suddenly all the songs I download (while the size of a normal song file) sound like a speaker test pattern (different types of static on and off) and the songs are not about 3 minutes long but are 15 - 30 minutes. I know that it is not my player as I have opened some previously unlistened to files downloaded from audiogalaxy and they work and I listened to some files I downloaded from LimeWire last night and they work but everyting I'm getting right now sounds like a test pattern....HELP

These files are hoax files... there is nothing wrong with your media player. It would be best if you could identify the IP address of the source and add them to your host filter so you will not see those again. Please delete these files or at least rename them as fake so they won't be inadverdantly passed along. It has been suggested these are being placed on the net by the music industry to discourage the shareing of copyrighted materials.
