Default "Requery Sent........"

Hi,

I have recently upgraded to Limewire Pro to try and combat the "Requery Sent, Waiting.....". I have had Pro for a few days now, and I still get the same problem?!? I have tried numerous times to get Music and I haven't been able to download one song yet?? Can anyone help, or is that the way it is??

Cheers

Question

I have used Limewire since 1.3.1 . I have downloaded many songs and videos. I upgraded to 2.3.4PRO about a month ago and have spent several hundred hours downloading one video and 4 songs. In fact it appears as though each upgrade makes downloading more difficult. I have quit using limewire, but still look for upgrades to remedy this problem. Sometimes I'll start downloading and 4-5 hours later I get a red light and all is lost. I have a cable modem and am usually packed with uploads! I would like to know what the heck we who bought the PRO version can do to have the abilities we used to! Im thinking of dumping the PRO and getting the free version again just to see if I can actually get something. I am very disappointed. There is very little support.

My experience is the same as yours... but I do not feel it is Limewire. I use several clients (Bearshare, Xolox, Shareaza & Limewire Pro) and have had pretty much the same experience on all. I am afraid it is more a statement of the overall health of the network more than it is an individual client. I have used Kazaa recently and found performance somewhat better but I hate the Cydoor / Pop crap so I took it off.

Thumbs down limewire pro is lemon

I had Napster until Napster was useless. I had Audio Galaxy (a great FTP satellite) until they required the version with gator, etc be downloaded.

Limewire is without a doubt the biggest ripoff of the whole damn kaboodle! Pay so I can watch that damn requery crap...you gotta be kiddin'!

I stayed connected for 12 hours and not one single connection or download attempt....just a lot of requery bull.

Limewire sucks. What a joke.

Angry REQUERY SENT- Is this an attack on Limewire

This appears to be some kind of "denial of Service" attack going on. For at least the last 3 days, you'll find that all of the ' "REQUERY" D/L s listed (at least all I've written down), appear to be coming from various but SIMILAR DNS? numbers....in effect through one server:

EXODUS.NET

these include:

64.14.40.166 , 169, 165, 172 etc etc also

64.15.245.14 and others

216.35.73.145 etc etc

The whole series are 64.14.0.0 - 64.14.255.255

Look and see if these are the DL's youve checked ( that dont work)

I dont know if Limewire folks are aware of this. On their website, Morpheus also says they're under attack too.
