Default file name bad

Every time I download an mpeg file I am unable to play it. I always get a message that says 'file name bad' What gives?

Most Operating Systems do not tolerate the use of slashes within the file name... I know in UNIX/LINUX that is the case as / & \ are used in special ways... I believe that is the case with MAC OSX since it has UNIX roots and I don't think Windows cares for them either. I have downloaded files in the past which, for whatever reason, had slashes in the file name and of course it gave me an error like you are getting. I wound up deleting the file and finding another source.
