diffrence between green and black speeds

What is the diffrence between the green and black listings for speed while searching. I've noticed both colors under all types of connections (Modem, Cable, T1, etc.)

I /think/ that green means that one or more (if they are grouped)of the hosts has at least one free upload slot at the time of the query.

It is only a vague indicator of the likelihood of being able to connect to them to download a file.

good guess, but green actually indicates a more accurate host speed, while black T3 most likely will be a modem host.
