Freezing after download 2.5.5 I recently downloaded the 2.5.5 version of limewire. Since that time there are problems with download completions. Instead of saying"completed" it says "downloading from 0 hosts". From that point on the nothing works on the screen. No launch capabilaties, can't search or check connections. Have to turn off computer and restart. I deleted the program and reinstalled it, but it didn't help. I am using an Imac 9.1 with 160 bits memory. I would like to take this version off the machine and reinstall an earlier version, but so far I haven't found a way to do it. Does anyone know of problems with this version using Macs? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks |
i am having the same problem whenever a file gets to 100% it sits with 'downloading at 0 kb/s.' Using force resume does not fix it, and now they sit as 'queued' even if i restart, kill download and resume, or click force resume. My downloads are set at 20 and i am no near that limit. This seems to have only started happening since i downloaded the latest version of LimeWire (2.5.4). I have also noticed it seems to run a WHOLE lot slower on my system than previous versions. I ma running a PowerBook G3 450 with 192mb on a cable modem. I should not be having any where near the amount of problems i have been having. I would love to pay for the pro version, but i will not until these things get fixed. b. |
