why all of a sudden requery forever? Up until a few weeks ago LimeWire was working fine. I have done nothing to my computer. I am on a cable. Every song I pick to download just sits there in requery. Is there a system problem? |
I have the same problem all the time. I found out that researching the hit caused the requery to disappear and commence downloading, but that is in 5% of the cases. Mostly there are reported a sh*tload of new hit's in the research, but the requery stays. What the hell is the point of the automatic requery? It has not worked a single time on my limewire, and the only apperant function it serves on my limewire is to eat up network activity. |

I have had the same problem: query sent. FORCE resume does nothing. Have you had a solution to your problem yet? If so, let me know. Thanks |
'Force Resume' is a bit of a Red Herring. I think it does have a use - but I can't remember what it is - it doesn't do what you think it does. LimeWire actually sends out a new query once every 45 minutes if you have files in your download queue (not per file). If you do a manual search that finds a file of exactly the same name and size, LimeWire will try to connect to the new result and re-start the download. Mark |
