Audio Quality I have a question about audio quality of files. Most of the files I download skip or stop during playback. However, I am not sure if this is due to the file, or my computer. It seems that if I try to do any other task during playback (even typing this post) it causes the song that is playing to skip. Is there a way around this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! |
It sounds like you might be using LimeWire's built in MP3 player. This is not the worlds greatest (or most efficient) player. I suggest you get a stand-alone media/audio player and use that instead. If you still get problems in playback it could be the files themselves. If you are using a PC - go to www.winamp.com and download winamp - if the files don't play back smoothly then the files are stuffed. If they do then change players from whatever you are using now. If you aren't using a Windows operating system then... I can't help. Mark |
thanks for the responses - Winamp seems to have corrected the problem, I've only found a few files that truly sound bad. My machine is also outdated and it is sortof a point of pride with me that I won't get a new one. Any thoughts on burners to buy? I actually don't have one, but clearly need one. Soon. |
