wrong upload size displayed? I am running Limewire 2.65 PRO with Java 1.41 on Win2000. I got tired of re-entering my firewall, etc info so the last two updates I've manually backed-up and restored the PROPS.JS file before/after each update. In general, everything works fine. The thing that concerns me is that I sometimes find people uploading files where LW reports the wrong (too small) filesize. Is it normal for a distributed upload to report only the part of the file they're d/l'ing from me? Or, is my hash file corrupt?... |
It's normal. Besides distributed uploads, retries also display the remaining size to download and not the full file size. This change is a helpful thing for me as I can see when my upload bandwidth is saturated and causes connections to interrupt. Completed uploads would display some size of 32 K or under but when there is enough bandwidth the number is higher. If the size requested is actually wrong, instead of transferring a File Not Found error occurs. |
