![]() I have had limewire on my computer for a long period of time and just recently it started giving me d/l problems. I cannot seem to d/l anything! I've been trying to d/l ONE song for 3 weeks now! No progress! I've tried everything and I cannot figure out what's up. It wasn't giving me problems before? I tried uninstalling it and then reinstalling it...nothing. Please help! |

![]() I have had Lime wire for a long time and NEVER had a problem untill yesterday, now I can't download faster than 3kbs vs. 100+ I was downloading at? I was told that HTC ,in Myrtle Beach,S.C., witch is my ISP, well they have almost stoped all bandwith in the ports that Limewire uses and other file sharing networks. All because some lady downloaded a movie illegaly? This is not fair for the folks who r not abusing the program, what can I do?? please e-mail me @ rlcowboy @yahoo.com if u have the answer. |

![]() Wow, what a monster thread and sadly most of it is like japanese braille to me. I am a total virgin to file sharing and thus far my issue has been the speed of downloads - I am supposed to have some super quick Cable connection where I get 2000 Kb/s but when I am downloading the maximum I appear to get is 15 Kb/s. Would anyone be kind enough to offer me some words of wisdom. Thanks in advance. ![]() |

![]() --Artichoke Regarding the speed of your downloads: With all P2P networks you can only download as fast as the people on the other end can send the files to you. You will also notice that even though you can download that is get files from the network to your PC at a rate of 2Mbps. I am relatively confident that you cannot send files into the network (upload ) at that same rate. Well, this is true for most users. Also, recently I've received complaints from people not able to download at good speeds. After much troubleshooting we learned that the ISP was throttling P2P traffic. Nothing you can do about this short of changing ISPs.

![]() The only way to do this to my knowledge is modifying the source code. -- I think the maximum is capped at 10 hosts. Quote:
