Uploads extremely slow (0-1kbs almost always) I'm having an issue with uploads...not that I can't do any, but that the few requests that I DO get only upload at 0K or maybe 3Kbs, even though I have set the uploads to 100% of bandwidth. I have nothing else really going on in the background, and I'm not downloading either, so what can possibly be causing this? (I used to on previous versions of Limewire --and previous versions of Mandrake) continually upload to people at 150kbs or more!) Here are my stats: Mandrake Linux 9.0, Cable Modem, Shorewall Firewall with port 6346 open, Limewire 2.7.3, sharing 150 fairly popular files. Have tried "forced ip" also, but this has no effect. Last night , for example, I have a total of 30 or so attempted uploads, only 5 got above 5% complete, and only one actually finished--the poor guy must have waited all night for that 4MB file!. Please help with any advice! |
Couple of possibilities: 1. Modem users are downloading from you. 2. The person downloading from you is filesharing from a place (work or school) where they are administratively applying QoS to p2p traffic in and effort to discourage it use. |
