Downloaded 100,000kb movie and only showin 30 seconds???? it is only showing 30 secs of the thing. is there a way i can get it to show the whole thing or what? i dont understand why it is showin 30 seconds of the damn thing in the first place... its done and completed even...???????:confused: |
I don't know what platform you are using, but the free player vlc http://www.videolan.org/ would play files like that for me. It seemed that if I previewed a bit while downloading, the movie would only play back that portion in quicktime later, even after the file size changed drastically. |
I think it's because of the way it's compressed. It's like ten, 10MB files on top of eachother. On Mac (I'm assuming that you're using Mac) it only plays the first 10 seconds. There is a program called Rosetta that works to fix the file so you can see the whole thing. I'm not sure if it's shareware or freeware. But, it's worth it if there was a cost. I know I posted about it months ago. Maybe try searching on these forums for "Rosetta" or "only plays 10 seconds". It's been discussed before. Good luck. :cool: |
