search button disabled

installed the upgrade (win 98) a week ago and used it fine until we installed a new printer... after that the search button is always disabled... we tried all the different file types, restarted program and computer... no luck. the connection seems fine and already in progress downloads are still going. any ideas? it's just not a very useful program if we can't search!

Hello!

Maybe the printer that you have installed is a network printer and have somehow messed up your network settings. Try to disconnect it and see what happens.

The search button will always be greyed out if you are disconnected to Gnutella. Are the ball in the bottom left corner green or red?. If red then you are disconnected and have to connect. Use the connect option under the File menu.

Also you can try to perform a search by hiting enter/return instead of using the search button. This will also initiate a search.
