Advanced Statistics for Uploads Ok. There's a problem with one of the advanced statistics. In Advanced -> Uploads -> General, there are statistics that show the completed uploads, interrupted, etc. It appears to me that messages of the Upload Limit Reached, are being counted as "Complete" uploads. I usually have auto clear on, and after turning it on and simulataneously looking at my advanced statistics and my uploads, I saw the completed counter rising whenever an Upload Limit Reached message came, and none of actual uploads had been completed. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a problem with this new statistic? |
that behaviour is intended. any transfer, whether limit reach, file not found, etc.. can become interrupted or completed. it can be interrupted if there was a problem (such as the connection being closed) writing the response back to the user, and it can be completed if the response was written back succesfully. i suppose it's possible to add a new stat "file completions" ... :) |
Yea. I guess I was under the impression from the stat that it meant file upload completions whereas it means connection completions. Although, I admit, it was cool for a while when I thought I was getting a couple thousands sucessful uploads a day. Yeah, it's be really nice to have a statistic like that. Most people are good people, and most of them upload. And with the previous messages that somewhat lent themselves to misunderstanding, having a clear statistics that shows how many uplaods are being completed would really make joe user feel as if he's successfully contributed to the network. |
