![]() Hi... i was wondering how i could change my speed to "Ethernet"... i saw that some of the files had blue stars and thatg was because they were using ethernet cords... well im connected thru an internet cord but i dont know how to set it up... plz help.... |

![]() You don't do anything. It just shows that the other computer is connected to you on the same Local Area Network (LAN--like the computers connected by ethernet at home, work or school). Your files show as blue on theirs. This is really great in dorms, and ISP's like it because they don't have to route your requests and transfers out of their zones. Sweet, eh? I think Adam Fisk is the LW developer who really made this work. I know--too many words--but it sure is quick, and you don't have to do a thing if you are connected to the internet by ethernet. Next time you see one of those blue entries, use "browse host" if you can to see even more files. |
