One of the sources has accepted and queued your request, but LW continues to check for an other or better source, I believe. You should see the number of the alternates change in the tooltip results as time goes by and more sources are discovered or rejected.

In other words, there's still a lot going on behind the scenes. You can glimpse some of it by having tooltips turned on.

btw, upgrade to the latest version (3.5.8)--there's even a beta 3.6.0 available. You should keep your old version installer, though, in case of problems.

That's why I'm confused.
I KNOW it's getting new sources....right now it's at 100 alternate sources.
I refuse to believe every one of those is busy, so why am I still waiting???

Don't know--sounds odd. Does this happen with all downloads, or just this one? I'm not seeing anything similar with 3.6.0 on OS 10.2.8, so "bug" seems unlikely for my set-up.

No, not all of them.

I'm starting to wonder....this particular file...always gets to 94%, then it loses connection to the source, and starts waiting in line for the rest. But it never gets the rest.

New problems lately too.
But I cannot upgrade...I need a certain type of package, and it's not there yet (in the Debian archives).
So I guess I'll muddle along.
