Default shared still files not showing up

It sounds like several people are having this problem so I'm posting here in addition to what's been floating around on the OSX forum. None of my shared files are accessible. I have gone in and double-checked the folder settings in OSX, I have de-listed and re-listed the shared folders in limerwire and still, none of the files show up in the library. Before the upgrade, all the right files were shown as being shared and there were frequent uploads. Now, I see all the folders in the library window, but when I click on them, the only folder that shows any files is the "Incomplete" AND I can see searches being run that should hit me but don't. In the lower corner, there is a message in red that reads "no files shared." Almost half would be files I've downloaded from limewire, so it can't just be that they're waiting for numbers. I feel guilty freeloading, even if it is inadvertent, so any help would be appreciated!

sigh--I was hoping an expert could make sense of your posts. Sounds like a real mess not easily diagnosed or fixed.

Have you tired to start fresh with a clean install? If your preferences somehow got messed up with the upgrade, you can find the old prefs by searching for anything containing "limew". This is the easiest way to check for preference problems.

If it's a OSX problem, post which version of OSX you use, and if you've run through the usual safe boot/repair permissions, update system software steps. If you've already tried ruling out all the user pref problems by creating a new Admin User and testing an install there, that would be really useful to know.

Still, anyone who hates being a leecher is well worth helping.
