Analog modem.

Hello,
people say that having a 56K modem isn't an excuse for not sharing files.

When I am download something 4KB a second, the last thing I need is a few people hogging 80% of my bandwidth.

If I had a faster connection I wouldn't care less about sharing files, but I find it pointless. Especially when someone tries to download a 50MB+ file off me.

I tried limiting the upload bandwidth and people seem to cancel because it is too slow for them. Well I am so sorry I don't have cable like you do!

So, unless dial up users are constantly connected and don't mind sharing their extremely small amount of bandwidth with other users, I don't see why dial up users are expected to share.

There is no real point to this post, instead I am just stating my opinion.

Why dont you just disable people downloading from you then?

you can prevent people from downloading files, if you don't share.
