sounds distorted

when I play downloaded music files they sound distorted and they play slow ? any suggestions

use a proper mp3 player like Winamp, XMMS or Itunes instead of LimeWire's mp3 player.

I'v heard that the RIAA distorts mp3 files to discorage people from downloading music. But a different player might solve your problems.

Ive heard that too we need some way of filtering out corrupt music from RIAA. And I know its not the LimeWire player because when I burn it the skips are still there in the same places.
