This seems a good solution for UPeers, hope LW implements it. However if nobody wants your files (i.e. sharing a directory with thousands of pictures or text files) the UP bandwith will still be lost.

Yes, but that should not happen very often.

Believe me it happens a lot... some people do that to not be seen as leeches and other are expanding compressed folders in their shared folders... I see lot of that kind of garbage when browsing hosts. However I see less of these people lately.

Vote for trap_jaw4's first comment on this one... As a first step reduce Ultrapeers dramatically... Try only 2... Far less 'drastic' than reducing your shared folder(s).

Large UP counts being always better is a fallacy for the vast majority of users..
