gotta problem when searching
 

:confused: hey all, i just registered to the message boards. i have a small problem with lime wire... when i search for something my options only state .mp3 or .mpg or .mpeg....etc. All i simply want it to do is say the subject or title like it use to, but it only says what type of file it is now... someone help me pleassee! :(

Hi nahimbrian,

I am not positive what you mean. I assume you are using the new search enhancement in version 3.9.x

If you select "all" at the top left of the media panel you will see all the search results in your search window just like you used to. The advantage here is if you want to look for, say, a video. you can select video and filter out the other files that may not interest you and clutter your search results. When you do that the search panel results tab will show two numbers - eg - 45/391. THe first number tells you how many results there are that are video and the second tells you the total returns for your search. Clicking on all in the media pane will bring them all into the view panel just like older versions of Limewire and the search tab will display only one number - 391 in this case.

well that wasnt the problem, but you definitely helped me realize the problem! i feel like an idiot... i just had the name category squeezed so that all i could do was see the type of file it is! thank your for your help tho! Cuz i would have never looked at the media if it wasnt for your help!
