What file to I add into the box, it is defaulting to LimeWire 4. ?

i stopped sharing my files like a lot of people and to solve this users have told me to go to tolls - options - add - then choose a file to share. i made a folder to share my files from, because i don't have my shared folder i lost. i don't mind losing the files, but now when i download songs they don't show up anywhere, they just disappear. i need to know if i can redownload limewire, because it is useless for me now.

Actually, I also downloaded it a second time and it did not fix the problem. However, I am now up and running again.
If you follow the instructions above, you will be able to see the default folder that offers the files that you can chose from. MAke a folder in that area (on your PC) and then choose that particular one. It will not be the original, but you can also make different folders for different genres, ect.

I did the stupid thing of updating to this 4.0.7 b.s.
Now when I try and preview a song it says the file type is not recognized. I dont see my shared files folder anywhere either and I tried that tools, options bit. What the heck is up? Any help would be great... otherwise I am Kaaza bound.. Thanks

i'm also encountering probs with my downloaded files..afta e download is complete i cant seem 2 find e file in e library..and i dun understand e steps "go to tools and options and etc"..this system is new..too new i guess..kazaa is still e best..

Once my music is downloaded how do you get it to a folder to put it on a cd? This is more trouble than I bargained for and I've emailed them for help but never received any! If problem persists I think I will contact the better business bureau! Any suggestions please help

Tools > Options > Sharing > Add

And

Tools > Options > Sharing > Uploads

Make sure both directories match

i have not stopped sharing but i would like to send my downloads to my music. Could you help me with a command string to send it there instead of where it is going now in settings

Shared Folder MISSING
 

I went to the tools bar and I do not have options after that....is there something else I can do? My shared files are missing now but they were there this morning?!?!

i really like limewire, but i deleted my shared folder and this does not help me much:confused: is it possible to get a version of this topic for an extreme beginner :D

i just downloaded an update for limewire now my "shared" folder is gone. i can't see wht i downloaded the stuff just goes somewhere. i dunno where it goes and how do i get my shared folder back with everything i downloaded???? HELP HELP HELP HELP PLEASE

i had the same stop sharing problem... all you have to do is make a new shared folder with the same username as the last shared folder you had, then you should have it back.

Can't open playlist?
 

I am definitely new here and I am really having a hard time. After I downloaded a song, I couldn't add it to the playlist. In fact I can't open the playlist. I highlight the song and then click enqueue and nothing happens. That is just the beginning of my confusion. So i will stop there for now. Can anyone help me? I am not using pro and I am using 4.12 and windows xp.

You are just agrivated, having an axiety<sp?> attack or just frustrated. The file is still there. Do a search or just look in the recycle bin. And LeMeNo.

please help i was in limewire playing music and was trying to configure shared files now all my music is gone i cannot find it please help i am not sure where to find these files and wow i had alot music on here is all lost please helpppppppppppppp and ty for takeing the time to help me i appreciate any info i can get

Wow...so I'm not the only one huh..! I was so bummed that i lost over 300 songs.....i have done tools, option sharing add....but you got to know what to add.......what do i put in there...shared folder?

Whatever you wish to share. Personally I share, videos, images, music files (lossless & lossy formats), & a few other items. :)
