I searched myself?

Limewire PRO 4.0.5, I did a search and my own files turned up in the search. I' din't realize it but thought it was odd that I was downloading at 2201KB.

Cheers,

DG

Huh???? That shouldn't happen, unless you have two instances of LimeWire (or two gnutella clients) running! In that case, the search results should show as blue stars (ethernet transfers).

You can get ethernet transfers on a home network too, but those speeds suggest both clients are on the same machine.

LOL, though--sure beats 16KB/s, right? Love to know more . . .
:)

Only one instance of Limewire running. I can even chat to myself...

Well well well---Learn something new every day. I'm stumped (as usual).

Sounds like that's worth copying the sample bug report to get the details (from tools->options->bug reports->view example), and posting the key sections (minus any personal info or the the example java crash section). You can mail it to bugs@limewire.com or just paste it here.

Any idea what could have happened to trigger this? It's the coolest bug I've heard of :p

more fun--your attachment crashed my Preview.app, and GraphicConverter only shows mostly black. Does it download properly for anyone else?

No, I'm trying to make a screen shot fit... for the fourth fu*king time. Why list the maximum size in a different unit than what the software generally uses? It's like telling someone that the drive to New York will be 478,800,349,765 inchs, so purchase enough gas based on the cars MPG.

stief June 5th, 2004 10:12 PM

Nice analogy. Don't forget we may be crossing international borders, so we'd also have to convert the inches to millimetres and the MPG (is that a US or Imperial gallon? African or European Swallow?) to litres/100 kilometres. :p

I remember trying to figure out posting screenshots. btw--the .png files seem to come out best for me.

Anyway, the screen shot isn't really necessary. Click in the sample bug report, use whatever keyboard commands you use for "select all" and copy. The result is editable text. An edit menu would be nice, and there's hope for an improved "bug report" .

I would, but limewire doesn't allow cut and paste...
No Idea why it did that. I was even able to chat with myself, two chat windows. There were no blue stars, just a killer download rate. I even could Browse myself.

DG

Ah--LW does allow copy/paste--peerless would know the XP keyboard commands. Click in the example bug report window, then control-A to select all, and then control-c copies, right?
